Autumn Rainbow Leaf
Far too often I see the world from a distance, rather than admiring the intimate details.
On this particular day, I was taking in the beautiful fall colors lining the tree tops. I spent about an hour shooting wide, trying to capture the entire landscape.
A friendly lady was walking by with her labrador retriever. I knelt down to give the dog a good pat, when I noticed some colorful leaves on the ground.
A few wet kisses later (the dog - not the lady), I looked around for the tree producing these fantastically awesome leaves.
Sitting in-between two large oaks, was this scrawny, little maple tree with only a few leaves hanging on for dear life. I found this one that was angled upwards, almost reaching for the sun.
Rather than capturing the entire leaf, I got even closer to pick up the fine details. I was blown away by the vibrance of the magentas, reds and yellows.
Thanks to that dog, I was able to focus in and appreciate the world that often goes unnoticed.
