"The Secret Chinese Garden" - Missouri Botanical Garden
One warm Summer afternoon, I took a stroll through the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Wow, what a place. If you're ever in the St. Louis area, you MUST add this to your itinerary.
The best way I can describe it, is that it's like Disneyland (or Disney World) for things that grow. They have "themed" gardens that take you to another place and time.
As I meandered through a multitude of foreign trees, I came upon this path. It snaked it's way between two Chinese sculptures, towards a glowing God beam. It was so beautiful and serene.
This particular garden (designed by Chinese-born architect Yong Pan) was modeled after the "scholar’s gardens” of the southern provinces of China and constructed using authentic architectural elements created by Chinese artisans in Nanjing, China.
I used a combination of post-processing techniques to enhance the warm sunlight in the garden and to emphasize the ancient path.
